Tell something about yourself?

Hello, My name is Dinar Khowaja. I am from Karachi, Pakistan.  I received B.E in Electronic Engineering, followed by M.E in Electronic System Engineering, both from Mehran University Of Engineering and Technology, Pakistan. In my Masters, I worked on Face recognition Using Principal Component Analysis. I have three years of experience in teaching, in engineering universities of Pakistan. I also served the institutions as a member of several committees. I am passionate about my work, set realistic goals and display professionalism in my undertakings.

Why did you apply to ImmerSAFE project?

I applied to the ImmerSAFE project because I wanted to pursue PhD. This opportunity not only seemed to be the best opportunity for pursuing PhD but it will allow me to work with a team of developers in a company  and would enable me to develop my technical skills with an additional advantage of technical trainings throughout Europe.

What kind of expectations do you have for your research project and network training?

I am eager to work on this project and glad that I found a research program which greatly coincides with my previous education and research interest. I am intrigued by applications of this project in life threatening environments for humans and I wish to make classical and noticeable contribution in this field of research and pursue a PhD in this rapidly growing cross disciplinary field of research. I expect that this opportunity will help me become an independent researcher while working with knowledgeable mentors and skilled ESRs.

Dinar Khowaja is based at Xylon d.o.o., and her research project “Embedded system for enhanced surround vision in work machines” is linked to Work Package 2.
