Immersive visual technology and task performance

The focus of this project is to investigate how IVTs affect task performance.

The increasing effort from companies and organizations to implement IVTs in their work calls for a scientific investigation about the effect of IVTs on task performance and the overall effect of the new technologies on the final users. In the present project we aim to investigate how IVTs, and with particular focus Virtual Reality (VT) and Augmented reality (AR), can be effectively be used in work environments. Furthermore, a particular effort will be made to comprehensively understand the perceptive and cognitive factors characterizing the experience in the virtual world.
