ESR 11 – Dinar Khowaja (Xylon)

Embedded system for enhanced surround vision in work machines:

About the project:

The main research goal is to develop hardware-friendly methods and architectures suitable for real-time implementations, using modern field programmable gate array (FPGA) technology, investigate failure-safe designs and optimise developed algorithms for embedded computer architectures. Special emphasis will be put on maximizing the safety goals of the designed systems.

The expected outcomes will be Implementation of a multi-camera surround-view system for work machines utilizing the FPGA technology. Implementation of stereo and structure-from-motion approaches for 3D scene reconstruction. Novel system design methods aimed at achieving high reliability of the embedded surround-view system.
