Soheila Sheikh Bahaei: Research project 5,Dependability in vision-centered systems” (Mälardalen University)

Project information:

Immersive Visual Technologies (IVT) refers to providing highly realistic and naturally intuitive information and interaction through advanced imaging technology. In this project these technologies are used in safety-critical applications and for improving the success and effectiveness of accomplishing a task.

Increased complexity increases the risk of subsystem failures and investigating holistic approaches to analyze the dependability of image-centric socio-technical systems is essential. There is no approach for analyzing the dependability of such systems.

This project focuses on analyzing dependability of systems containing human operator and new organizational changes such as digitalization and technical changes such as augmented reality.

Soheila received her BSc in Information Technology Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology and MSc in Artificial Intelligence from Kharazmi University of Tehran in Iran. She worked also as a program(game) developer. Her main research interest lies in the field of image processing and dependability analysis.
