Meet our Early Stage Researchers: Francesco Comito from Xylon d.o.o
Tell something about yourself?
Hello! I am Francesco, I’m 28 and I was born in Lamezia Terme (Italy). I got the Master degree of “Technology, Telecommunications and Information Engineering” at “Roma 3” university, in Rome.
I have always been interested in multimedia and signal processing, as well as networks analysis and security. For this reason I focused on the multimedia signal quality after transmission through a network in occasion of the bachelor degree thesis work.
Within the Master degree thesis work, I developed a controller to enhance the Software-Defined Network (SDN) Security.
I are familiar with several programming languages and circuit development tools.
Why did you apply to ImmerSAFE project?
This project gives me the opportunity to work and study for PhD in an international environment. By means of this project I can be in direct contact with international companies and researchers with different background from many different countries.
In this way, sharing experiences and information, I think I can learn and grow up as person, as engineer and as researcher.
What kind of expectations do you have for your research project and network training?
My main expectation is to be able to contribute to the success of the project with my work.
I hope and believe that this project can bring great benefits to safety in people’s daily lives (while they work, while they drive etc.)
Francesco Comito is based at Xylon d.o.o., and his research project “Embedded system for enhanced surround vision in work machinery” is linked to Work Package 2.
