ImmerSAFE project’s network-wide training activities started last week, as the Training School on Immersive Imaging was held in Croatia, organised by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb. The event brought 10 Early Stage Researchers to Zagreb, providing them a chance to meet each other and some of the other network members. Furthermore, 2 ESRs attended the event via skype.
The Training School 1 focused on human vision and visual cues, multi-sensor 3D scene capture, plenoptics, compression of immersive imagery, and immersive displays.
The Training School 1 will be followed by a series of Training Schools and Tech Days – each focusing on different topic – during 2018-2021. The next event, first ImmerSAFE Tech Days, will take place at Tampere University of Technology in January 2019.
