Meet our Early Stage Researchers: Shahriar Hasan from Mälardalen University
Tell something about yourself?
I’m Shahriar Hasan from Dhaka, Bangladesh. I received my BSc. in Computer Science and Engineering from Islamic University of Technology, Dhaka and Joint Master degree in Internet Technologies and Architecture from Pierre and Marie Curie University, Paris and University of Trento, Italy. I worked at Samsung R&D Institute Bangladesh Ltd. as a Software Engineer and American International University-Bangladesh as Lecturer in Computer Science Department.
Why did you apply to ImmerSAFE project?
This project expects the hired early stage researchers to come up with novel solutions to a very important real-life problem which would significantly improve the user experience in safety critical applications. Despite the fact that, we will be working on different research areas, the cumulative outcome will make a difference for the greater good. To attain this goal, ImmerSAFE project is going to arrange every possible collaboration among the researchers and advisors which will add diversity and maturity in our research works.
What kind of expectations do you have for your research project and network training?
I plan to gain in depth knowledge of prevailing communication protocols and design protocols on my own suitable for transmitting immersive visual data reliably in real-time. To this extent, I expect to build myself as an independent researcher within my area of interest with the help of my advisors here at Mälardalen University and other participating organizations.
Shahriar Hasan is based at Mälardalen University, and his research project “Ultra-reliable communications of Immersive visual data” is linked to Work Package 1.
